 The London Institute is located on Fleet Street.Through its glamour, the Institute appears to be a regular, abandoned church on the outside. Inside, the Institute is as glamorous as a castle. The ceiling rises up and disappears into the gloom above. There are tapestries hanging from the walls depicting stars, swords, and designs of runes.

 Run by: Ingeborg Kriegsmesser (Ingeborg Mainz before marriage)

Started in approximately 1174 was among the first buildings in the city of Berlin. First it was build as a church but left empty after a few years. When the Nephilim traveled they found it and started using it as base to build further. The institute has wings from different time periods each in their own style. However some of the newer wings have taken on styles from longer ago such as ancient Greek styles. Some have found relics from those times

 The German capital city and also the largest in the country. Berlin is the world of culture, politics, media, and science. The shadowhunters and downworlders managed to keep their existence secret. They haven't been spotted once and some downworlders even manage to live a mundane life.

 Brocelind Forest is a massive forest located in Idris, near the Nephilim capital, Alicante. Along with the Brocelind Plain, it encompasses a large portion of Idris. The forest houses several Downworlders, particularly werewolf packs and vampire clans.

 Lake Lyn is a remote lake that isn't used because the water is poisonous to Shadowhunters. Unbeknownst to many, the lake is in fact the legendary Mortal Mirror, the third of the Mortal Instruments, and is the lake where Raziel rose from and first appeared to Jonathan Shadowhunter.
